ABOUT US

Our History

Shalom Funeral Service was established over a decade ago at the request of several prominent Rabbis in Denver. These Rabbis believed there was a need for a mortuary that was welcoming and dedicated to those who espoused traditional Jewish practices, as well as practices that vary among the branches of Judaism. We have also observed the importance of being welcoming to those who prefer services that are not strictly according to Jewish traditions, helping those who come from blended families, and those who want a more personalized type of service.

Judaism is concerned about honor and respect due to the deceased (Kavod HaMet). Jewish tradition is also vitally concerned with the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the living and the requirement of extending comfort to them. Shalom was created to fulfill those needs.

We dedicate ourselves to representing the needs of your family during this very difficult time. It is our honor to be of service.
