Edward I. Cohen, beloved husband of Elizabeth, devoted father of Sara and Michael. Also survived by brothers Harold and Philip (Agnete) and multiple nieces, one nephew, grand-nieces and-nephews.

Edward was a revolutionary in the personal bankruptcy business, giving thousands of people a fresh start in their lives through the Chapter 13 repayment process. One of the first to use computers in the practice of law, he streamlined the personal bankruptcy process. Edward was also the first attorney in Colorado to advertise on T.V. Edward and Elizabeth were among the founders of Herzl Jewish Day School (now Denver Jewish Day School). Devoted tennis player, bridge player, doting father, and loving husband. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eddie's memory to the Anti-Defamation League, the Denver Zoo, or a charity of your choice.

Celebration of life services will be on Friday, July 20, 2018, at Shalom Family Chapel/Horan McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd, Denver 80246. In honor of Eddie's memory, bright colors are encouraged at the Celebration of Life Services. Open house will be held on Saturday and Sunday, from 1 to 5 pm, July 21 and 22 at Brookdale Mountain Vista, 8101 E. Mississippi, Denver, CO 80247, in the community room.
