Lola Holloway

September 26, 1932 — July 18, 2022

Lola Holloway was born on September 26th, 1932, she passed away July 18, 2022. She would have been 90 on her birthday, those 2 dates are not so remarkable , its Lola's life in between that was extraordinary.

Lola was born Brooklyn New York. Her Parents were Nathan and Yetta Weissman. She also had a younger brother Joel Weissman.  Eventually they all moved to Denver to be closer to family.

Music and education were Lola's passion. She loved school and learning, She was one smart cookie.  Her love for music led her to become quite an accomplished pianist. In the early 70's along with her teacher she used to perform at recital’s. Her love for books and movies were endless. Ask her any trivia question she always had the answer.  She should have been on WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE and JEOPARDY.

Lola met and married Nathan Saul Levitt, in the year of 1955. Together Lola and Nathan had 3 children, Robert Alan, Bonnie Sue and Marla Dee.  As things sometime happen, they divorced. Lola continued to work,  raise her children and was very involved in The Jewish Community Center.

Lola met William Holloway in the early 70's and married. They traveled together and enjoyed a wonderful life until Bill's Passing in 1994.

Lola continued to work and travel. She spent all her free time with her children and son in law Craig Kelley, her grand kids. Stefanie Levitt, Bailey Levitt and Riley Levitt. She loved animals of all kinds. She was quite good at cards and loved to play video poker.  She loved Blackhawk

Lola's leaves behind 3 children , A son  in law, 3 grand children ,a sister in law Elaine, 4 niece's- Terry ,Miki , Patty and Joann, as well as many grand nieces and nephews and loving cousins afar. Her friend Gloria who kept her hair looking beautiful, and best friend for over 60 years Arlene Morris (Cissy to my mom)

The last 5 years Lola was living at Shalom Park. There she meet a group of wonderful people, aids and nurses. We thank you all from the bottom our hearts for the care you gave our mom. She will be missed!

The family would like to  invite you to luncheon at the home of Marla and Craig following this service.
